YEREVAN/AUG.14 (The Bulletin) — Blasts at a warehouse storing fireworks in Yerevan killed at least 16 people and injured more than 60. Two people are still missing, feared dead.
The blasts sent a massive plume of thick black smoke over the city and firefighters were still battling flames nearly 24 hours later.
No cause for the blasts have been given although the authorities said that they had received several bogus bomb threats against various government buildings, shopping malls and the metro through the day.
