NOV. 24 2022 (The Bulletin) — Uzbek officials signed an $855m deal to buy planes from France-based plane manufacturers Airbus and ATR. The deals were signed on the sidelines of a trip to France by Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev and underline Uzbekistan’s ambition to boost its aviation sector. Under the deal, Airbus will deliver 13 aircraft and two helicopters to Uzbekistan and ATR will deliver five more.
