Switzerland’s Stadler wins $2.6b train deal in Kazakhstan

DEC. 14 2022 (The Bulletin)  — Switzerland’s Stadler train manufacturer won a $2.6b order to supply 537 sleeper and seating carriages to Kazakhstan and to maintain them for the next 20 years. Stadler will start delivering the carriages by 2030. The deal highlights Kazakhstan’s ambitious plans to modernise its railway system.
