DEC. 2 2022 (The Bulletin) — Russia test fired a new missile defence rocket from its Sary Shagan test site in Kazakhstan. Russia leases the Soviet-era missile test centre on the western edge of Lake Balkhash in south-central Kazakhstan from the Kazakh government. The previous recorded missile launch at the test centre was two years ago.
