TBILISI/Feb. 20 (The Bulletin) — Remittance flows from Russia to Georgia dropped by 62% in January compared to the same period in 2024, Central Bank data showed.
It said the fall was linked to mainly young Russians returning home from Georgia. Hundreds of thousands fled Russia in 2022 to avoid a mobilisation for Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.
