Lukoil to divert Kazakh oil exports from CPC to BTC

NOV. 30 2022 (The Bulletin) — Russian oil company Lukoil will divert its Caspian Sea oil exports to the CPC pipeline that runs from west Kazakhstan through Russia to the Black Sea port of Novorossysk because of Western sanctions have forced it to stop using the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC). An EU embargo from Dec. 5 stops European buyers purchasing or transporting Russian oil. CPC, which is part owned by Russia, is excluded from this ban.
