DEC. 9 2022 (The Bulletin) — Kazakhstan is preparing to extradite to Russia a Russian FSB officer who crossed over the border illegally in September to avoid mobilisation for the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of men fled into Kazakhstan in September and October to dodge mobilisation and Kazakhstan has, generally, been welcoming. The lawyers of the detained FSB officer said that he will be imprisoned if he is returned to Russia.
