Kazakh and Azerbaijani Central Banks raise rates

DEC. 12/16 2022 (The Bulletin)  — The Azerbaijani and Kazakh Central Banks both raised their interest rates and warned that inflation was still rising. Azerbaijan’s interest rate is now at 8%, up 25 basis points, its highest level since 2019. This is its fourth interest rate this year. The Kazakh Central Bank increased its core interest rate by 75 basis points to 16.75%, its sixth rise of the year. >> See markets on P.8
