Coca-Cola files lawsuit against company in Georgian rebel region

TBILISI/Sept. 10 (The Bulletin) — Russian media reported that US-based Coca-Cola has filed a lawsuit against a company based in the Georgian breakaway region of South Ossetia for infringing its trademarks.

Reports said that the South Ossetian company was selling its own drinks branded as Coca-Cola. The lawsuit was filed in the Moscow Arbitration Court.

Russia has recognised South Ossetia as an independent state from Georgia since a war in 2008.
