Azerbaijan cancels peace talks with Armenia becasue of Macron

NOV. 25 2022 (The Bulletin) — Azerbaijan cancelled EU-mediated peace talks with Armenia scheduled for Dec. 7 because of the potential involvement of French Pres. Emmanuel Macron. Azerbaijani Pres. Ilham Aliyev has accused France of being biassed. Azerbaijan and Armenia have looked to the West to help mediate a peace deal after fighting along their border killed 300 soldiers in September. The Kremlin’s reputation had nose-nived since it invaded Ukraine in February.
