DEC. 12 2022 (The Bulletin) — Georgia’s government said that it wanted to revive the Ankalia Black Sea port project, which was supposed to transform the country into a major hub for East-West trade until it was scrapped in 2020. The government scrapped the $2.5b project after a row with the Anaklia Development Consortium (ADC) over financing the project. ADC responded to the government comments by saying that the project was still subject to international arbitration.
